Product Description


The UL Style 1015 Electronic Wire is a workhorse cable designed for demanding industrial and commercial applications requiring high-temperature resistance and robust performance. This wire features a stranded tinned copper conductor (class B or C flexibility) insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and a tough polyvinyl chloride (PVC) outer jacket, rated for 600V and -40°C to +105°C (withstand short-term peaks up to +125°C). The XLPE insulation offers superior dielectric strength and chemical resistance compared to standard PVC, while the conductor stranding ensures flexibility for both fixed and movable installations.


Available in AWG sizes from 30AWG to 8AWG, it handles currents from 0.5A to 50A, making it suitable for everything from delicate control signals to heavy-power motor leads. The PVC outer jacket is resistant to abrasion, oils, and mild chemicals, meeting UL 1581 VW-1 flame test standards. Commonly used in industrial control panels, power tools, and automotive wiring harnesses, it balances durability with cost-effectiveness.

A: It is not waterproof—for wet environments, use a jacketed cable like UL 1015-WP with additional TPE moisture barrier.

Q: Does the XLPE insulation require special stripping tools?
